Jon has recently released two very popular LDS arrangements--"Peace Through Christ" and "Whenever I Hear Sweet Hour of Prayer." It takes a lot of work to pull together the sheet music for these types of songs, but Jon is willing to do it based on demand.

This is a pre-order for these two songs that are excellent for performing in Sacrament Meetings, baptisms, other church events, or just for enjoying in the home!

Both of these songs will be in Jon's upcoming album that will have about 10 more songs along these lines. If you want to listen to the music, head over to this link here.

In Jon's words: "This song was actually written to perform in Sacrament Meeting in October of 2022. I always like to tie the season and time of year into any music that I create. In October, Halloween is the theme of the month. But how do you bring "spooky" into Sacrament Meeting?! That was my challenge. I think I figured it out with this one. This song is hauntingly beautiful, and it is very fun to play and follow the chord progressions. I think they come through quite nicely here. This song is not for big and fast, but for soft, quick, and reverent. I write each of these songs with the primary purpose of bringing the Spirit more fully into the lives of those listening to the music."

The second is called "Peace Through Christ." This is an arrangement of "Where Can I Turn for Peace?" and "I Believe In Christ." This album was published with three tracks--one fully orchestrated, one as a solo piano rendition, and the final one as a play along version that is all of the instruments except for the piano. This sheet music is not currently available, but also will be soon!

In Jon's words: "This song was written as a request for a song to play in Sacrament Meeting. The request was actually to play a piano arrangement of the EFY song 'Peace in Christ,' but I thought about it and realized that most people probably wouldn't be moved by that arrangement unless they are very familiar with the song. I suggested that pulling these two songs together would be much more powerful. The song begins with a pretty melody and then moves into 'Where Can I Turn for Peace?,' moves into 'I Believe in Christ,' and then ends with a very calm, peaceful, and simple version of "Where Can I Turn for Peace?" so that the listener can just focus more on how they feel than on what I am playing. When I played it in church, the silence was almost deafening coming from the audience as I patiently played the final verse. This is one of the most powerful arrangements I've ever written and I hope it is played by many more people over the coming years to bring more peace into their lives and into those that listen. The answer to the question of "Where Can I Turn for Peace?" is powerfully answered in the title of a recent General Conference talk--'The Answer is Always Jesus.'"

*This is a pre-order for these two songs and the digital piano book (PDF version) for the piano album by Jon Cheney. You are authorized to print the book once for personal use. Most print shops can print and bind the book for anywhere from $5-10, depending on quality.
